Writing is part of my meditative process to clarify my thoughts, to align my actions and to focus on my purpose. I write about my emotions, my shortcomings, and my ideas for a better world through poetry, prose, and what I call rantifestos every day, some of which I post here on my blog and on social media. I share them to help others move along their paths to live and lead with compassion.
I am constantly amused by people’s surprise about the “smallness” of the world. It has always been small and accessible, but our declining awareness, our eroding consciousness keeps us from the extraordinary connectedness we have with others.
Of all the things I’ve learned, I believe conversations authentic, truthful. sharing of information, knowledge, feelings, is how we show our interest in one another—conversations are what changes the world. A great conversation that reveals and shares something about oneself can build bridges, forms alliances, create common ground, overcome differences and forge trusting bonds.
By opening the apertures of our hearts and minds wider to see and feel what is occurring around us and within us, you will share an experience of the life affirming connection to one another. Your offering of this openness and this presence will be the most generous gift of the season.
