Not Doing is Your Undoing
We don’t need pessimists or optimists. Or for that matter, “realists.” We need activists! People who act on their values, walking their path of passion and purpose.
Writing is part of my meditative process to clarify my thoughts, to align my actions and to focus on my purpose. I write about my emotions, my shortcomings, and my ideas for a better world through poetry, prose, and what I call rantifestos every day, some of which I post here on my blog and on social media. I share them to help others move along their paths to live and lead with compassion.

Discovering who you are and what you want provides moral clarity and makes the game of life worth living.

What if we knew what was inside every person, every situation, every thing? I am not just talking about the search or pursuit of the truth, but a view into the forces that caused the manifestation on the surface. A way to deepen our empathy and understanding of what is really going on.

We can not make real progress without engaging our enemies in the process of peace and a shared vision. Community must be truly inclusive, equitable and diverse.

Within each of us is this vast ocean of goodness and kindness lapping up on the shores of our lives every day. But we resist opening our hearts and minds to these enormous reservoirs of love and goodwill.

You encounter someone unstable from a heavy heart, get closer and listen.

If you are awake and paying attention you are numb and your heart is broken. One set of hate acts flows into another set of unimaginable examples of our darkest sides. It can be overwhelming.
